High Lane War Memorial Village Hall, affectionately known as "The Village Hall", is set in the village park, just off Windlehurst Road. (SK6 8AB)

For anyone who is unfamilar with the Hall, it is a clean modern, spacious building, avaiable to hire for a huge variety of uses.

Boasting a large, airy hall with adjacent kitchen and a smaller hall, also with its own kitchen, this attractive facility accommodates up to 60 (small hall) and 180 (large hall).

The Hall is run by a voluntary management team together with a committee of representatives from the various user groups. We also have an excellent caretaker who looks after all aspects of the building.

At the Village Hall, we host many activities to suit all age groups and tastes: Music and play on Monday and Wednesday morning for babies and toddlers, Brownies and Guides on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and karate classes on Thursday evening for children and adults. On Saturday mornings we have Dance classes and a new theatre group is starting soon.

For adults, there is a thriving U3A group with Art, Choir and Dance sections. There is also Bridge, Lace Making, Keep Fit, Slimming Club, Indoor Bowling, Townswomen's Guild and Flower Club.

It's a wonder High Laners have time to fit everything in!
